Biomedical Equipment Technician Job Description

IDR, Inc. is seeking a skilled Biomedical Equipment Technician to join our team in Sunnyvale, TX. As a Biomedical Equipment Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the proper functioning of medical equipment and devices in a healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance, repair, and calibration of biomedical equipment and devices
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential issues and prevent equipment failures
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment malfunctions
  • Document all maintenance, repairs, and inspections in a comprehensive log
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide technical assistance and training on equipment operation and maintenance
Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of experience as a Biomedical Equipment Technician
  • Associates degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of medical equipment, electronics, and mechanical systems
  • CBET certification is a plus
