Role Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the VP of Administration and Operations, this role oversees all accounting operations and provides leadership to the accounting team. Key responsibilities include:

  • General Accounting: Ensure adherence to the company's internal Quality System policies and procedures. Responsible for timely monthly, quarterly, and annual book closures, as well as the preparation of financial statements.
  • Financial Reporting: Regularly compile and distribute sales-related reports to management and relevant departments.
  • Audit Coordination: Facilitate financial audits with external auditors, preparing necessary documentation and implementing recommended practices.
  • Tax Compliance: File various tax reports and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Budget Management: Prepare and monitor corporate budgets, ensuring alignment with management expectations and forecasting future departmental needs.
  • Accounts Payable: Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, vendor management, and reconciliation with the General Ledger.
Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
  • At least 5 years of accounting experience, with a preference for candidates who have worked in a medical context or at a major accounting firm.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting cycles, US GAAP, and tax compliance.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with ERP systems.
