Our 9 North ACE unit is a 29-bed specialty unit dedicated to providing exceptional care to medical patients aged 65 and older. Our team specializes in the acute care of the elderly, utilizing evidence-based practices and innovative approaches to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.

Scope of Work

The Registered Nurse (RN) in this role will utilize the nursing process to provide professional nursing care, incorporating patient-family centered care principles to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge patients. The RN will work under the direction of the Nurse Leader, adhering to Corewell Health policies and procedures, and will partner with patients and families to develop individualized care plans.

Qualifications
  • Associates or Diploma in Nursing is required.
  • Bachelors in Nursing is required within 5 years for GN or RN with less than 1 year of experience.
  • Graduates from a non-accredited school of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years of experience in a licensed healthcare role and must have successfully passed the NCLEX licensure examination.
  • MI Registered Nurse (RN) is required. GN within 60 days of hire.
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) is required upon hire. Canadian Heart and Stroke is also accepted.
