About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled R&D Mechanical Engineer to join our team at ABB. As a key member of our Research and Development department, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative mechanical solutions for our industrial motors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical designs for industrial motors, adhering to internal specifications and industry standards.
  • Analyze motor test data for mechanical performance verification.
  • Lead projects and ensure that all related activities are performed in accordance with ABB policies and processes.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain on development of product specifications, application assistance, regulatory or certification requirements and processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with minimum 6 years experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical design development, manufacturing processes, and customer support experience are required.
  • Competence in advanced engineering tools (FEA) is a plus.
  • Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and MS Project software is required.
