Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineering R&D Manager to join our team at Abb Holdings Inc. As a key member of our NEMA Motors Division, you will be responsible for driving innovation and technical excellence in the design and development of electric motors.

Your primary focus will be on serving as a technical resource for the team, providing technical support, and creating technology and product roadmaps. You will also be responsible for fostering a culture of innovation, overseeing project execution, and staying up-to-date with electric motor technology and market developments.

As a leader, you will be responsible for allocating tasks to team members, supervising workload, and ensuring peak performance and efficient use of resources. You will also be responsible for developing and acquiring competencies needed for future product development, ensuring talent management through coaching and performance feedback, and providing career opportunities for team members.

Qualifications for the role include a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 15 years of experience in Electrical Design of Electric Motors, as well as minimum 5 years of management experience. Knowledge of advanced design methodologies, manufacturing processes, and customer support experience are also required. Preferred experience includes PMP Certification, Lean Six Sigma Certification, and Induction Motor, PM Motor.
