We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Business Partner to join our team at UMass Memorial Health. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in supporting the clinical and operational service lines, providing financial guidance and education to department and service line leaders.
Key Responsibilities- Provide financial analysis and guidance to department and service line leaders, including budget development and review, financial reporting, and performance tracking.
- Assist in the development of reports and scorecards that provide meaningful and actionable insights to service line leaders and managers.
- Identify significant variances and trends, and present progress reports to service line leaders and senior leadership, making recommendations for corrective action as necessary.
- Collaborate with other finance departments to provide data and information for analyzing opportunities for performance improvement, including revenue cycle analysis and expense reduction initiatives.
- Participate in service line planning activities, including the coordination of proposed business plans for enhancements to service line operations, and provide projected performance analysis and business plans.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience required.
- Five years of related experience required, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Highly motivated and dedicated professional with a strong commitment to excellence, customer focus, and accountability.
- Problem-solving abilities, work independently, and communicate effectively.
- Ability to manage high-quality and exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- Master's degree in Business Administration preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with cost accounting systems preferred.
- Knowledge of major accounting and Business Intelligence systems preferred.
- Hospital clinical or operational experience preferred.
