Job Summary

Pima County is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Coordinator I to join our Recruitment and Selection team. As a key member of our HR team, you will play a critical role in supporting our client departments, employees, and diverse community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate applicants and craft compelling job announcements to attract top talent.
  • Participate in recruitment strategy development and actively contribute to the recruitment process.
  • Provide professional-level human resources services to client departments, employees, and the public.
  • Develop and implement effective recruitment and selection processes to ensure a diverse and qualified candidate pool.
  • Conduct job-evaluation processes, research, and analysis to identify and resolve problems.
  • Develop, edit, and revise classification specifications to ensure alignment with organizational needs.
  • Counsel employees and applicants on employment opportunities and career advancement within Pima County government.
  • Provide input to supervisors and management on long- and short-term planning, goals, and objectives related to HR programs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or Public Administration, or a related field.
  • One year of professional human resources or personnel administration experience, or three years of experience in recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and/or employee relations.
  • Experience working with sensitive and confidential documentation in a high-volume HR environment.
  • Experience using HRIS systems for employment actions, reporting, and analytics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with diverse populations and communities.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local legislation affecting personnel programs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and establish strong working relationships with clients, employees, and stakeholders.
