Pima County is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Coordinator I to join our Recruitment and Selection team. As a key member of our HR team, you will play a critical role in supporting our client departments, employees, and diverse community.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate applicants and craft compelling job announcements to attract top talent.
- Participate in recruitment strategy development and actively contribute to the recruitment process.
- Provide professional-level human resources services to client departments, employees, and the public.
- Develop and implement effective recruitment and selection processes to ensure a diverse and qualified candidate pool.
- Conduct job-evaluation processes, research, and analysis to identify and resolve problems.
- Develop, edit, and revise classification specifications to ensure alignment with organizational needs.
- Counsel employees and applicants on employment opportunities and career advancement within Pima County government.
- Provide input to supervisors and management on long- and short-term planning, goals, and objectives related to HR programs.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or Public Administration, or a related field.
- One year of professional human resources or personnel administration experience, or three years of experience in recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and/or employee relations.
- Experience working with sensitive and confidential documentation in a high-volume HR environment.
- Experience using HRIS systems for employment actions, reporting, and analytics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience working with diverse populations and communities.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local legislation affecting personnel programs.
- Ability to communicate effectively and establish strong working relationships with clients, employees, and stakeholders.
