About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist PRN to join our team at South Texas Radiology Imaging Centers. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing nuclear medicine procedures and evaluating images for technical quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Perform and document wipe testing, radiation surveys, dose calibrator assays, and other quality control/quality assurance procedures.
  • Generate and maintain all required records, including documentation of procedures and patient information.
  • Demonstrate competence with and proper use of the Radiology Information System to include scheduling of exams, completion of exams, and entering of charges for procedures performed.

Requirements

  • High School/ GED and graduate of an accredited educational program in nuclear medicine technology.
  • Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiology Technology [RT(N)] or by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board [CNMT].
  • Must have passed the registry (either ARRT or NMTCB) and be in possession of a permanent Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) certification within one year of the date of issuance of the temporary MRT certification.
