Job Summary

We are seeking highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to join our team at Smart Care Medical Services Inc. As an EMT, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality medical care and treatment to patients in emergency and non-emergency situations.

Our ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for maintaining thorough familiarity with treatment protocols, response requirements, and quality assurance procedures, as well as ensuring the unit remains in a state of readiness in terms of mechanical reliability, medical supplies, equipment, cleanliness, and appearance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance, providing high-quality care and treatment to patients.
  • Maintain awareness of any and all changes in company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and company requirements in the operation of a motor vehicle.
  • Operate a company vehicle in accordance with company policies and safe practices.
  • Complete all appropriate documentation as outlined in company policies.
  • Report all problems and unusual occurrences immediately to the Supervisor and/or Operations Manager.

Requirements:

  • Satisfactory driving history / Clean driving record.
  • EMT Certification.
  • Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support CPR Certification.
  • Background check.
  • Negative Drug Test required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to lift a 200 pound patient with a partner.

Working Conditions:

The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: physical mobility, prolonged sitting, repetitive hand and arm motions, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling and lifting up to 200 pounds. Able to drive long distances daily. Mental demands: Maintain emotional control, ability to effectively communicate. Environmental Conditions: Work outside and inside; moderate exposure to extreme temperature (hot and cold) and vehicle fumes.
