Job Overview

We are looking for motivated and diligent individuals with a knack for technical tasks and a desire to advance their skills to take on roles as Installation Apprentices within our HVAC Installation Department. Daily responsibilities encompass the assembly of duct systems and equipment, managing materials, maintaining cleanliness, and providing support to experienced technicians and lead installers.

Compensation:

$18 - $22 hourly

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the setup of heating, ventilation, refrigeration, and air conditioning units for various environments including commercial, residential, and industrial settings.
  • Construct and seal ductwork effectively.
  • Ensure ductwork and related fittings are installed accurately and securely.
  • Cut and install take-offs as required.
  • Install round piping and associated components.
  • Correctly terminate flexible ducts to registers.
  • Possess a solid understanding of blueprints, system layouts, and duct design.
  • Set and install rooftop units efficiently.
  • Mount equipment, and rough-in and finish duct systems, condensate piping, and control wiring.
  • Exhibit strong time management skills to adhere to project timelines.
  • Communicate effectively with the HVAC Foreman.
  • Utilize personal sheet metal tools, including a cordless drill, proficiently.
  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
  • Use a tablet for job assignments and to complete work orders.
  • Hold EPA/CFC certification.
  • Possess a valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Be a self-starter capable of working independently.
  • Engage in any training opportunities provided.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidates should possess the skills, knowledge, and craftsmanship necessary to complete a variety of HVAC projects.

  • A background in mechanical work and hands-on construction is advantageous.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and comprehend instructions.
  • Strong organizational skills and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Integrity and accountability in work practices.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
