We are seeking motivated and diligent individuals with a knack for technical tasks and a desire to develop their skills in the HVAC Installation Division. The role involves assisting in the assembly of ductwork and equipment, managing materials, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting experienced installers.
Compensation:$18 - $22 hourly
Key Responsibilities:- Support the installation of heating, ventilation, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems across various settings including commercial, residential, and industrial.
- Construct and seal ductwork effectively.
- Ensure ductwork and fittings are installed straight, plumb, and level.
- Cut and install take-offs as required.
- Install round piping and related fittings accurately.
- Terminate flex duct to registers properly.
- Possess a solid understanding of blueprints, system layouts, and duct designs.
- Assist in setting and installing rooftop units.
- Mount equipment, and manage rough-in and trim duct systems, condensate piping, and control wiring.
- Demonstrate effective time management to adhere to schedules.
- Communicate clearly with the HVAC Foreman.
- Utilize personal sheet metal tools, including a cordless drill, proficiently.
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
- Use a tablet for job assignments and to complete work orders.
- Hold EPA/CFC certification.
- Possess a valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Exhibit self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
- Engage in available training opportunities.
The ideal candidates will possess the necessary skills, knowledge, and craftsmanship to handle a variety of HVAC projects.
- A background in mechanical or hands-on construction is advantageous.
- Ability to read a tape measure and comprehend instructions.
- Strong organizational skills with a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Integrity and accountability in all tasks.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
