We are seeking motivated and skilled individuals with a passion for technology and a desire to advance their careers as Installation Apprentices in our HVAC Installation Division. This role involves various responsibilities including the assembly of ductwork and equipment, managing materials, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting experienced installers.
Compensation:$18 - $22 per hour
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the setup of heating, ventilation, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems for commercial, residential, and industrial applications.
- Construct and seal ductwork.
- Ensure ductwork and fittings are installed accurately and securely.
- Cut and install take-offs as needed.
- Install round piping and related fittings.
- Correctly connect flexible ducts to registers.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of blueprints, system layouts, and ductwork design.
- Set and install rooftop units effectively.
- Mount equipment, and perform rough-in and finishing work on duct systems, condensate piping, and control wiring.
- Exhibit good time management skills to adhere to project timelines.
- Communicate effectively with the HVAC Foreman.
- Possess and proficiently use sheet metal tools, including a cordless drill.
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
- Utilize a tablet for job assignments and to complete work orders.
- Hold EPA/CFC certification.
- Have a valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Be a self-starter capable of working independently.
- Engage in any training opportunities provided.
The ideal candidates will possess the skills and knowledge necessary to execute a variety of HVAC projects successfully.
- A background in mechanical or hands-on construction is advantageous.
- Ability to read a tape measure and comprehend instructions.
- Strong organizational skills with a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Integrity and accountability in all tasks.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
