Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Concession Stand Attendant to join our team at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center (DECC Company). As a Concession Stand Attendant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and processing payments using our point-of-sale system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve Customers: Provide excellent customer service, take orders, and serve food and beverages to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Process Payments: Use our point-of-sale system to process payments and handle customer transactions.
  • Stock and Replenish: Stock and replenish condiments, supplies, and other items as needed to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Maintain Cleanliness: Maintain the cleanliness of the concession stand and surrounding areas, adhering to all health, safety, and sanitation protocols.
  • Work as a Team: Collaborate with other team members to ensure a seamless and efficient operation, including opening and closing procedures.
Requirements and Competencies
  • Customer Service Skills: Possess excellent customer service skills, with the ability to handle customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Communication Skills: Possess strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Adaptability: Be able to adapt to changing situations, including unexpected events and last-minute requests.
  • Teamwork: Be able to work effectively as part of a team, with a positive and supportive attitude.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to stand for long periods of time, move quickly throughout the facility, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Customer Service Experience: Possess a minimum of one year of customer service experience in the food service industry.
  • Point-of-Sale Experience: Possess experience using a point-of-sale system, with the ability to accurately process payments and handle customer transactions.
  • Food Service Experience: Possess experience in the food service industry, with knowledge of food preparation and handling procedures.
Work Environment

The majority of work will be performed indoors, with some events held outdoors in different seasons. Many of the work areas will fluctuate from moderate to loud noise levels, and the temperature can fluctuate from extremely hot and humid to cold.
