This is a full-time, permanent role that necessitates regular national travel (up to 50% depending on project demands) to provide on-site, in-person project assistance. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in leading strategic planning, research, data analysis, facilitation, and project management within the higher education landscape or similar complex environments. Key Responsibilities- Lead and support various client projects focused on strategic planning, research, facilitation, consensus building, and strategic communication.
- Oversee project management tasks, including developing project timelines, setting objectives, maintaining proactive communication with clients and team members, tracking project milestones, understanding client needs, and delivering high-quality work products.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings of varying sizes, create and present materials to guide discussions, and synthesize feedback into actionable outcomes.
- Utilize industry insights and data to advise senior decision-makers on strategic plans and initiatives.
- Produce a range of deliverables, including presentations, strategic plans, briefing documents, agendas, meeting minutes, and reports.
- Employ problem-solving skills to identify client needs, conduct relevant research, and develop strategic solutions aligned with client objectives.
- Collaborate with internal teams to efficiently execute project deliverables.
- Establish trusted relationships to serve as a reliable resource for clients and team members.
- Maintain the firm's and clients' reputations by being client-focused and committed to exceeding expectations.
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in management consulting, higher education administration, or strategic planning, with experience in consulting for higher education institutions considered advantageous.
- Proven problem-solving capabilities and a proactive approach to completing tasks with minimal oversight.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead project teams or working groups.
- Excellent communication skills, including public speaking and meeting facilitation.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail and commitment to deadlines.
- Ability to manage projects and deliverables under tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality outcomes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- A strong work ethic and a commitment to achieving results, along with a willingness to learn and adapt.
