Objective: The Mathematics Educator is responsible for facilitating the learning process by overseeing students, crafting educational plans, collaborating with fellow educators and administration, and addressing parent inquiries regarding the educational program and student development.
Reporting To: Principal of the Building
Key Responsibilities:
- Modifies classroom activities to provide tailored instructional resources that meet individual learning objectives within the framework of established lesson plans.
- Implements assessment programs to evaluate student proficiency levels and formulate personalized learning strategies.
- Guides parents on student performance, expectations, and accomplishments to support educational objectives.
- Evaluates student progress towards learning goals and offers constructive feedback.
- Works in partnership with colleagues and community resources to enhance student achievement.
- Exhibits strategies to effectively meet the unique needs of each student.
- Regulates student conduct to foster a secure educational environment.
- Creates various documents to track student development.
- Reports any suspected abuse to ensure student safety.
- Addresses inquiries from various stakeholders to resolve concerns.
- Engages in meetings to share essential information for operational functions.
- Prepares written documentation to record student progress.
- Reports any suspected child or substance abuse to maintain student safety.
- Responds to inquiries from various sources to resolve issues.
- Acts in emergency situations to ensure immediate safety concerns are addressed.
Additional Responsibilities:
Performs other related tasks as assigned to ensure the effective functioning of the educational unit.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid teaching certificate in the relevant subject area.
Physical Demands:
This role may involve occasional lifting, bending, fine motor skills, and varying degrees of sitting, walking, and standing.
Ongoing Education/Training:
Maintains all required licenses and certifications.
