Role Summary: We are seeking a remote Senior Quality Assurance Specialist to contribute to our initiatives with the Indian Health Service (IHS).
Work Environment: This role is fully remote, allowing candidates to access IHS systems and utilize approved communication tools without the need for travel, although occasional onsite meetings may be required.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive QA/QC support for the Software Quality Assurance Project associated with the Indian Health Service.
- Ensure that software products and documentation comply with established government and Health Information Technology standards.
- Integrate established standards and propose enhancements to improve the quality assurance framework.
- Engage in all phases of the software development lifecycle, focusing on project requirements analysis, software deployment, and release management.
- Coordinate and monitor multiple projects through User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Review software products for accuracy and adherence to user requirements and government standards.
- Conduct testing by installing software, analyzing test cases, and reporting issues to ensure functionality aligns with user expectations.
- Execute manual tests, document results, and provide metrics for deployment iterations.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.
- Participate in software deployment across various environments, including Windows and UNIX (AIX).
- Develop and execute manual test cases while maintaining test plans and suites.
- Document technical issues and solutions in accordance with established procedures.
- Support IT projects and ensure data security and privacy.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an IHS Public Trust clearance.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 3-5 years of experience in QA analysis, testing, or related roles.
- Familiarity with software testing cycles, release management, and change management processes.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience with Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
- Proficiency in tools such as ADO, JIRA, and ServiceNow is preferred.
