Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage internal and external communications through the operation of the telephone switchboard and front desk reception
  • Provide administrative support to other hospital departments as directed
  • Process patient registrations and maintain accurate records
  • Operate general office equipment, including telephone switchboard, postage machine, copy machine, fax machine, and calculator
  • Use computer systems to complete data entry assignments and maintain accurate records

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of switchboard equipment
  • Ability to use computer systems and complete data entry assignments
  • 10-key data entry method
  • Good visual acuity and ability to communicate
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 10 pounds and push/pull a minimum of 10 pounds
  • Reasonable assistance may be requested when lifting, pushing, and/or pulling are undertaken which exceeds these minimum requirements
  • Ability to withstand prolonged sitting
