Job Summary

UCHealth is seeking a skilled Patient Access Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for registering patients for services, performing receptionist and clerical duties, and communicating with referring providers and clinical departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet with patients and/or their caregivers to exchange necessary information and documentation.
  • Provide explanations of visits, instructions, and address concerns and questions.
  • Communicate with referring providers' offices, clinical departments, and/or other appropriate personnel to exchange necessary information and determine schedules.
  • Verify insurance benefits and obtain pre-certification/authorization as necessary.
  • Determine and accept required payments, including co-pays and deductibles, or refer to financial counselors for follow-up.
  • Ensure that all necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information is obtained and entered in the registration system with timeliness and accuracy.
