Part Time Cafeteria Worker: Uplift Summit Prep 24-25 SY

Uplift Education is seeking a Part Time Cafeteria Worker to join our team at Uplift Summit Preparatory. As a Cafeteria Worker, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and serving of food to meet planned menu requirements. You will maintain high standards of quality in food production, sanitation, safety practices, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with general kitchen tasks, including cooking and preparing meals according to the menu, serving food according to meal schedules and procedures, and maintaining order and cleanliness of the kitchen.
- Follow Safety guidelines when operating equipment and follow all industry standard guidelines for food safety and sanitation.
- Ensure counting and claiming process are followed according to USDA/TDA guidelines.
- Provide good customer service to maintain good customer relationships.
- Process cash handlings accurately and in a timely fashion.
- High School diploma or general education diploma (GED) preferred; may substitute equivalent work experience for diploma preference.
- Experience in school food service/food service.
- Possess current Food Handler Permit (or the ability to obtain within the first 20 days of hire).
- Ability to understand food preparation and safety instructions, knowledge of kitchen equipment and food production procedures, and capable of operating small and large kitchen equipment and tools.
The work environment is representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The environment requires proximity to other employees, frequent interruptions, extended periods of time viewing a computer screen and standing, and noise levels from moderate to high.
Compensation:$15.00/hr
