Cafeteria Worker: Uplift Heights Prep 24-25 SY

Uplift Education is seeking a skilled Cafeteria Worker to join our team at Uplift Heights Preparatory. As a Cafeteria Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our cafeteria, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of quality in food production, sanitation, and safety practices.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with general kitchen tasks, including food preparation, cooking, and serving.
- Maintain order and cleanliness of the kitchen, adhering to industry standard guidelines for food safety and sanitation.
- Ensure portion control and follow meal schedules and procedures.
- Provide good customer service to maintain good customer relationships.
- Process cash handlings accurately and in a timely fashion.
- High School diploma or general education diploma (GED) preferred; may substitute equivalent work experience for diploma preference.
- Experience in school food service/food service.
- Possess current Food Handler Permit (or the ability to obtain within the first 20 days of hire).

- Child Nutrition workers are regularly required to stand and walk for the entire shift.
- Required to reach, balance, stoop, kneel, twist, and bend often.
- Employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
The work environment is representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The environment requires proximity to other employees, frequent interruptions, extended periods of time viewing a computer screen, and standing, and noise levels from moderate to high.
