We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our team at Contemporary Dentistry of Centreville. As a key member of our dental care team, you will play a vital role in improving the oral health of our patients and enhancing their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough dental cleanings and scaling for patients of all ages, ensuring a high level of patient satisfaction and comfort.
  • Assess and record patients' oral health conditions, taking X-rays as needed to inform treatment plans.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, focusing on preventive care and education to promote optimal oral health.
  • Provide patient education on proper oral hygiene techniques and home care, empowering patients to take control of their oral health.
  • Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as required, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to ensure a seamless patient experience, promoting a culture of teamwork and excellence.
  • Maintain detailed patient records and treatment notes, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program.
  • Current state dental hygiene license and CPR and local anesthesia certification.
  • Proficiency in taking and analyzing dental X-rays.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, dentists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Compassion and a genuine commitment to patient care, with a focus on delivering exceptional patient experiences.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of infection control.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team player, with a focus on collaboration and mutual respect.
  • Knowledge of current dental technology and software systems is a plus, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
