Procurement Specialist

Parsons is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to support our team in ensuring the quality, efficiency, and timeliness of services provided to clients and project personnel.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials.
- Monitor and follow up on assigned purchase orders to ensure adherence to terms and conditions.
- Initiate action to resolve supplier problems that may impact project requirements and construction schedules.
- Prepare bidders lists, issue Request for Quotations, receive and analyze bids, and prepare bid analysis summaries.
- Assist in post-award activities, including obtaining final vendor data and invoices from suppliers.
- Serve as primary contact for the distribution of procurement documents, reports, and correspondence to project management and other disciplines.
- Monitor bid requests, bid analysis, and purchase orders to ensure timely action.
- Maintain purchase order records, including history of follow-up contacts with suppliers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Economics (or related field)
- 4+ years of related work experience
- Procurement experience with a major engineering and construction firm or industrial supplier
- Working knowledge of vendor data control, expediting, and other purchasing activities
