Procurement Specialist

Parsons is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to support our team in ensuring the quality, efficiency, and timeliness of services provided to clients and project personnel.

• Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials.
• Monitor and follow up on assigned purchase orders to ensure adherence to terms and conditions.
• Initiate action to resolve supplier problems that may impact project requirements and construction schedules.
• Prepare bidders lists, issue Request for Quotations, receive and analyze bids, and prepare bid analysis summaries.
• Assist in post-award activities, including obtaining final vendor data and invoices from suppliers.
• Serve as primary contact for the distribution of procurement documents, reports, and correspondence to project management and other disciplines.
• Monitor bid requests, bid analysis, and purchase orders to ensure timely action.
• Maintain purchase order records, including history of follow-up contacts with suppliers.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Economics (or related field)
• 4+ years of related work experience
• Procurement experience with a major engineering and construction firm or industrial supplier
• Working knowledge of vendor data control, expediting, and other purchasing activities
