We are seeking a skilled PET/CT Technologist to join our team at Optum in the Tri-State region. As a PET/CT Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality medical imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform and reformat CT examinations to create diagnostic images
  • Operate computerized tomography equipment and related devices
  • Greet patients, obtain medical history, and enter information into our computer system
  • Scan patients according to established guidelines
  • Monitor patient vital signs during examinations
  • Provide instruction and mentoring to new hires
  • Maintain CPR certification and adhere to facility and regulatory standards
  • Assist in the completion of accreditation processes
  • Ensure a positive patient experience and provide excellent quality care
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) CT certification
  • Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with patients and staff
  • Ability to use our department's computerized system and associated devices
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or Baccalaureate degree in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine
  • 2+ years of experience in computed tomography
Physical Demands:
  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods
  • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to assist patients weighing 300 pounds or more

  • External medical partners
