Counseling Psychology Faculty Position

Job Summary:

The Department of Educational, School, and Counseling Psychology at the University of Kentucky invites applications for a tenure-track position in Counseling Psychology. This appointment is a nine-month position to begin August 1, 2025. The successful candidate will be expected to teach counseling psychology graduate courses, mentor students, and maintain an active research program. The ideal candidate will have a strong research focus on social justice and multicultural perspectives.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach counseling psychology graduate courses, including social justice consultation and evaluation
  • Mentor master's and doctoral students, supervise dissertations, and provide professional service
  • Maintain an active research program and seek extramural research funding
Requirements:
  • Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program
  • Evidence of successful teaching and mentoring
  • Record of research indicative of strong trajectory toward tenure and promotion
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience securing extramural grant funding
  • Research focus on social justice and multicultural perspectives
