Overview:
The role involves assembling and testing mechanical components, parts, or products utilizing various tools and equipment in accordance with specified requirements within a designated area of a manufacturing assembly line.
The position requires familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures relevant to the field. The individual will depend on instructions and established guidelines to execute job functions effectively.Key Responsibilities:
Adhere to the Quality, Environmental, and Health and Safety (QEH&S) policies and strategic objectives of NESCO Inc.
Conduct sub-assemblies and final assemblies with limited oversight. Work within a production cell or manage small components by inspecting and sorting as necessary. Follow written job instructions or engineering drawings/work orders to ensure accuracy. Develop a comprehensive understanding of assembly operations/functions to facilitate troubleshooting as needed. Acquire knowledge of operational or departmental equipment, tools, or gauges as required. Recognize opportunities for process enhancements and improvements. Maintain current calibration of instrumentation. Execute quality checks in line with established quality protocols and ISO standards. May be required to operate forklifts, hand trucks, carts, hoists, and ladders.
Complete any additional duties as assigned.Utilize and maintain personal protective equipment essential for safely performing job tasks. Ensure production pace aligns with customer demands. Collaborate with the team to review daily production targets and metrics. Uphold cleanliness (5S) standards in the work area on a daily basis. Engage in continuous improvement initiatives at the work site.
Skills and Equipment:
Capability to read and understand simple instructions. Proficiency in using various power (Pneumatic) hand tools (e.g., power screwdrivers, sockets, etc.). Ability to interpret blueprints.
Position Requirements:
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. A minimum of 1 year of experience in assembly or similar fast-paced environments is preferred.
Attributes:
Consistent attendance, production quality, a professional demeanor, and teamwork are essential.
Physical Requirements:
May be required to lift weights ranging from one to forty pounds.
Additional Requirements:
The selected candidate must adhere to the company Code of Conduct and related policies.
