About the Role
The Assembly Operator role at Zetron is responsible for assembling and inspecting completed assemblies in compliance with documented procedures and standards for our product manufacturing. This involves manually assembling various electronic hardware and parts to designated locations on electronics subassemblies and assemblies, soldering components into circuit boards while adhering to IPC standards, and performing visual inspections on finished assemblies.
Key Responsibilities
• Assemble and inspect completed assemblies in compliance with documented procedures and standards
• Manually assemble various electronic hardware and parts to designated locations on electronics subassemblies and assemblies
• Solder components into circuit boards while adhering to IPC standards
• Perform visual inspections on finished assemblies
• Make corrections to finished assemblies when nonconformities are discovered
Requirements
• Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to solder components to circuit boards
• Basic understanding of hand tools and small machine tools
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be able to follow systematic processes and have good understanding of general safety procedures
• Excellent time management and organizational skills with a keen sense of attention to detail
• Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to utilize a computer
Education & Experience
The following list of requirements are considered the minimum levels of education and experience necessary to perform this job successfully. Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job is acceptable.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer skills required. Experience with MS Excel is desirable.
• Familiarity with IPC 610 standards is a plus
• At least 2 years in electronic assembly experience preferred
• SAP experience is preferred
