Job Summary

Amazon is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Assembly Technician III to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling and integrating satellite components, sub-assemblies, and final vehicle assemblies in a Cleanroom and ESD control environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical and electrical components with emphasis on detail and quality.
  • Build solar modules and solar arrays.
  • Maintain lab equipment and ensure it is calibrated.
  • Support preventative maintenance activities on test equipment and data acquisition systems.
  • Identify equipment requirements and process improvements.
  • Manage floor stock inventory.
  • Execute test procedures for component and system level testing.
  • Receive shipments and coordinate deliveries with recipients.
  • Contribute to improving SOPs and safety procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of relevant aerospace manufacturing experience or relevant aerospace trade school certification.
  • 2+ years of hands-on work experience in Electro-Mechanical Assembly, Final Integration, and/or Harness Integration.
  • 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced production environment with Flight Hardware.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with precision torque, measurement, and inspection devices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) certification/license.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and work from engineering documentation and/or drawings.
  • Experience in the aerospace industry, automotive industry, medical device industry, aviation, military, or other high-reliability operating environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment.
