About the Role

The MFG Assembly Technician II will play a critical role in the production of satellite components, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail. This position requires a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble satellite components, sub-assemblies, and final vehicle assemblies with emphasis on detail and quality.
  • Build solar modules and solar arrays, ensuring precise measurements and inspections.
  • Maintain lab equipment, ensuring it is calibrated and functioning properly.
  • Support preventative maintenance activities on test equipment and data acquisition systems.
  • Identify equipment requirements and process improvements, maintaining floor stock inventory.
  • Execute test procedures for component and system level testing, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Receive shipments and coordinate deliveries with recipients, utilizing forklifts and pallet jacks as needed.
  • Contribute to improving SOPs and safety procedures, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • 1+ years of hands-on work experience in mechanical, electrical, manufacturing production, or assembly.
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience with precision torque, measurement, and inspection devices.
  • Experience in the aerospace industry, automotive industry, medical device industry, aviation, military, or other high-reliability operating environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, understand, and work from engineering documentation or drawings, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $61,360/year in our lowest geographic market up to $75,920/year in our highest geographic market.

Pay is based on a number of factors, including market location, and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
