Salary Range:
The minimum compensation for this role is determined by the appointment type and rank, with a base salary range of $107,300 - $235,400. Annual salary negotiations are standard, and additional compensation may be available for those participating in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan.

We are seeking candidates whose research, teaching, and service contributions align with our mission of excellence, diversity, and inclusion in higher education.
The selected individuals will be expected to develop a robust program of high-caliber research focused on Interventional Psychiatry, including areas such as neuromodulation and innovative treatment approaches.
In addition to research, successful candidates will engage in teaching responsibilities, which may encompass lecturing and mentoring within our various educational initiatives, as well as providing clinical care to patients.
The appointment level, whether Associate or Full Professor, will be contingent upon the candidate's qualifications and experience. The series will consist of a combination of 50% Ladder Rank and 50% In-Residence with secured extramural funding, or a 100% Ladder Rank appointment.

As a participant in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, appointees should be aware of restrictions on outside professional activities, including a prohibition on clinical moonlighting. Additional information is available upon request.
QualificationsBasic Qualifications (required at time of application)
Candidates must possess a PhD in health sciences or a related field, and/or an MD degree or equivalent.
For those with an MD or equivalent engaged in clinical duties, Board certification or eligibility in their respective field is required, along with eligibility for a California medical license or equivalent certification as determined by the Medical Board of California.
Applicants should have a minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in clinical, translational, and/or basic research, along with an independent, extramurally-funded research program (NIH R01 or similar) and a record of publications in high-impact journals, including at least one grant and/or publication related to neuromodulation research in psychiatric disorders.
Additionally, candidates must have 5 years of experience in teaching and/or mentorship.
Preferred QualificationsPreference will be given to candidates who have authored at least 5 research articles detailing clinical trials of neuromodulation treatments.
