We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Physician Assistant Studies Professor to join our faculty at the Dominican University of California. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and evaluating students, serving as a student advisor, and assisting in curriculum development and implementation of the didactic and clinical portions of the program.
Key Responsibilities- Teach and evaluate students in the Physician Assistant Studies program
- Serve as a student advisor and provide guidance and support to students
- Assist in curriculum development and implementation of the didactic and clinical portions of the program
- Develop and deliver lecture and laboratory material content that meet course objectives
- Develop and implement evaluation tools to assess student knowledge of course content
- Participate in program committees to evaluate and develop curriculum
- Participate in scholarly and research activities to professional groups and journals
- Perform site visits and evaluations of students on clinical rotations
- Master's degree
- Current NCCPA certification if PA
- A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience and 2 years of teaching experience is preferred
- Experience in teaching Anatomy and Physiology preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills required
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team with other program and university faculty and colleagues is essential
