Job Title: Associate Professor of Public Health

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public health research and education, with a proven track record of securing extramural funding and publishing research in top-tier journals. They will also have experience in teaching and mentoring students, as well as a commitment to diversity and equity in education.

The appointment will be at the Associate Professor rank and will be based on the candidate's background and experience. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the development of our public health program, including teaching, research, and service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and mentor public health undergraduate or graduate students
  • Conduct research in the field of public health
  • Secure extramural funding for research projects
  • Contribute to the development of our public health program

Requirements:

  • PhD, DrPH, or related doctoral degree
  • Current extramural funding, a minimum of one funded project, and a minimum of ten publications appropriate for the Associate rank level
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching and mentoring students
  • Commitment to diversity and equity in education

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in mentoring one or more undergraduate or graduate students in public health
  • Teaching one or more classes in Research Methods or Practicum/Community
  • Experience in mentoring one or more undergraduate or graduate students in Research Methods or Practicum/Community
  • Training or experience in research ethics, measurement, and study design
  • Demonstrated skills in quantitative analysis and statistical software if seeking to teach Research Methods, and/or community-based research approaches if seeking to teach Practicum/Community
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in education, research, or professional community beyond one's own class teaching and research program
