About the Role

Michels Corporation is seeking a skilled Equipment Traveling Mechanic II to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in maintaining the reliability and efficiency of our heavy equipment fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and repair defective electrical, electronic, mechanical, and/or hydraulic components on vehicles and heavy construction equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and supervisors to resolve complex equipment issues.
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure work meets company standards.

Requirements
  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, and 3 years of experience, or minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or training.
  • Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
  • Aerial experience is a plus.
  • Experience with DOT inspections, hydraulics, drive train, controls, and electronic diagnostics is a plus.
  • Basic computer proficiency is required.
  • A valid driver's license for the type(s) of vehicles you may be driving, and an acceptable driving record.
  • Federal Medical Card.
  • Ability to travel.
