Job Summary:

MedStar Health is seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) examinations according to established imaging protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct patient interviews to identify contraindicated implants, foreign bodies, and other medical conditions of concern.
  • Verify prescriptions and protocols, using appropriate imaging parameters and injecting contrast as needed.
  • Document examinations accurately and verify image quality prior to completion.
  • Assist in organizing and maintaining inventory of supplies, ensuring a clean and organized work environment.
  • Promptly prepare films and CDs upon request and assist with protocol development and implementation.
  • Collect quality control data and complete required information system functions.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or one to three years of formal training in an American Medical Association accredited school of Radiologic Technology/Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
  • Job-related experience or successful completion of a formal MRI educational training program.
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology) MRI or ARMRIT (American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists) certification within one year.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

Compensation:

The hiring range for this position is $59.26.
