Job Summary:
MedStar Health is seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) examinations according to established imaging protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient interviews to identify contraindicated implants, foreign bodies, and other medical conditions of concern.
- Verify prescriptions and protocols, using appropriate imaging parameters and injecting contrast as needed.
- Document examinations accurately and verify image quality prior to completion.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining inventory of supplies, ensuring a clean and organized work environment.
- Promptly prepare films and CDs upon request and assist with protocol development and implementation.
- Collect quality control data and complete required information system functions.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree or one to three years of formal training in an American Medical Association accredited school of Radiologic Technology/Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
- Job-related experience or successful completion of a formal MRI educational training program.
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology) MRI or ARMRIT (American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists) certification within one year.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
Compensation:
The hiring range for this position is $59.26.
