MRI Imaging Specialist

MedStar Health is seeking an MRI Technologist to work at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in magnetic resonance imaging and be able to perform a full range of MR exams in accordance with established protocols. The successful candidate will also be able to adhere to strict MR Safety policies and procedures, and will have excellent communication skills to provide basic information to patients and families about procedures to be performed. The MRI Technologist will be responsible for performing MR imaging procedures, including venipuncture, injection of contrast media, and non-narcotic medication, and will work closely with the Biomedical engineering department to ensure timely completion of all exams. The ideal candidate will have a Vocational/Technical Diploma from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology, and will be certified by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
