Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a key member of our veterinary support staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Administer medications, assist with treatments, and perform diagnostics and monitoring as needed.
  • Assist with anesthesia and surgery, including preparation, induction, maintenance, and recovery of patients.
  • Provide patient dental care, including ultrasonic cleaning and polishing, and assist with dental surgery.
  • Position patients and assist with radiographs, sending radiographs via email.
  • Collect, prepare, and run or submit samples for requested tests, and read and record results when indicated.
  • Prepare invoices, discharge instructions, and client informational tools.
  • Communicate with clients regarding hospitalized patients, provide follow-up care, and educate clients on at-home care procedures.
  • Assist with reception and front desk duties, including answering phones, booking appointments, and admitting/discharging patients.
  • Assist in training and mentoring new team members.
  • Assist with inventory control and prepare prescriptions.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb, as well as manipulate up to 50 pounds and over 50 pounds with a coworker. The candidate must also be able to endure sitting, standing, and walking on hard floor surfaces for extended periods and work in noisy conditions with sounds from animals and equipment.
