Job Title: Data Analyst

Core BTS is seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join their team to support their financial and operational decision-making processes through insightful data analysis and reporting.

Job Summary:

Our client is looking for a Data Analyst to extract, clean, analyze, and report on financial and operational data. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in Power BI, SQL Server, Alteryx, and ERP systems to create interactive dashboards and provide actionable insights to various departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Extraction and Integration:
    • Extract data from various databases using SQL queries, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
    • Pull data from ERP systems to analyze financial and operational performance.
  • Data Cleaning and Transformation:
    • Use Alteryx to clean, transform, and prepare data for analysis, handling missing values, outliers, and ensuring data consistency.
    • Utilize Power Query in Power BI to further clean and shape data.
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting:
    • Create interactive financial dashboards and reports in Power BI to visualize key metrics such as revenue, expenses, profit margins, and other financial KPIs.
    • Perform financial data analysis using SQL queries to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Data Validation and Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial data by validating it against predefined business rules.
    • Regularly audit data processes to maintain high data quality standards.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with finance, operations, and other departments to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights.
    • Present findings to stakeholders through reports and dashboards, making data-driven recommendations.
  • Automation and Optimization:
    • Use tools like Alteryx to automate repetitive data tasks, improving efficiency.
    • Continuously seek ways to optimize data workflows and reporting processes.
  • Support for Business Decisions:
    • Provide data-driven insights to support strategic business decisions, such as cost reduction, investment opportunities, and performance improvement initiatives.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Finance, Business, or a related field.
    • Proficiency in Power BI, SQL Server, Alteryx, and ERP systems.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
    • Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
