Russell Tobin & Associates is seeking a highly skilled Quantitative Engineer to join our Hedge Fund Solutions team. As a Quantitative Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing quantitative research projects, extending existing quantitative analytics code base, and integrating new data sets into the analytics process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement quantitative research projects to drive business growth and improve decision-making.
- Extend and maintain existing quantitative analytics code base to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Integrate new data sets into the analytics process to provide actionable insights.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including portfolio managers, risk managers, analysts, IT, and vendors, to ensure seamless communication and execution.
- Monitor and maintain constantly changing data sets and manage the data across a variety of systems.
Qualification Requirements:
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in quantitative analysis, financial modeling, or risk management.
- Excellent programming skills, with proficiency in languages such as Python.
- Excellent knowledge of database concepts and SQL.
- Understanding of financial instruments and investment concepts.
- Strong attention to detail and superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to quickly learn new concepts and adapt to changing requirements.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Bloomberg PORT/MARS, Barra Risk Models, and Aladdin is a plus.
