Position Overview:
The Coordinator of Youth Ministries will be an integral member of the Ministry Team.

This role involves a commitment to nurturing the spiritual lives of young individuals and their families through meaningful ministry initiatives:


To engage in a proactive evangelical outreach aimed at introducing youth and their families to the teachings of Jesus Christ.

To create a supportive environment where children, teenagers, and young adults can deepen their faith and cultivate a life of holiness.

Compensation:
$30,000 annually.

Key Responsibilities:
Represent The Salvation Army with integrity and honor.


Support the overall mission of The Salvation Army by addressing community needs and enhancing our outreach to local families.


Design and implement a comprehensive family ministry that connects families with our programs and encourages their involvement in church activities.

Develop effective strategies to promote solid Christian values among children and families in your care.

Establish and oversee programs that support the spiritual, physical, and emotional growth of those you serve.

Provide information about community resources available to youth and their guardians.

Foster a relational ministry approach that builds strong connections with families.


Initiate and sustain innovative or traditional ministries that promote spiritual development and discipleship among children and their families.

Participate in training sessions organized by the Divisional Youth Department.

Possess a valid driver's license for transportation purposes.

Drive participants to and from various programs as needed.

Maintain a positive Christian influence throughout the facility.

Facilitate prayer and devotional activities in all community programs as requested.

Engage with youth from various programs and their families.


Build relationships within the community to encourage participation in church services and programs.

Plan, implement, and oversee all youth ministry events.

Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills.

Attend and supervise all retreats and events as directed.

Participate in community events as assigned.


Lead a variety of athletic and recreational activities that contribute to the overall ministry.

Teach children essential skills in both individual and team sports.

Monitor activities in various areas of the facility, ensuring safety and well-being of all participants.

Maintain accurate monthly statistics.

Assist with seasonal initiatives as needed.

Support any additional projects assigned by leadership.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Experience working with children and families is essential.

A mature understanding of Salvationist principles is preferred.

A valid driver's license is required.

Strong interpersonal communication and intervention skills are necessary.

Knowledge of available community resources is essential.


Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and a passion for the mission of The Salvation Army and the vision of the Ministry Team are crucial.
