The Production Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our manufacturing processes. You will verify product specifications with equipment settings, monitor the equipment during operation, track process pace and productivity, and identify any deviations from established parameters.

This role also encompasses manufacturing, configuring, packing, and preparing orders for shipment.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Production:
    • Execute vinyl laydown on both first and second surfaces, including weeding, taping, and laminating.
    • Assemble and wire LED pricers.
    • Fabricate sheet metal components.
    • Apply paint finishes to products.
    • Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding operations.
    • Utilize all machinery and tools associated with fabrication processes.
    • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the shop floor.
    • Adhere to Promotion Plus Sign Co., Inc. standards for storing fabrication/production materials.
    • Demonstrate knowledge of packaging and shipping procedures.
    • Participate in daily production meetings with supervisors to review work orders and established timeframes.
    • Maintain an accurate material inventory list.
    • Operate design software to send files to Large Format Printers, Vinyl Plotters, Laminators, and Routers.
    • Proficiently operate the Large Format Printer, Vinyl Plotter, Laminator, and Router.
    • Generate daily loss reports and propose solutions to prevent similar losses in future projects.
    • Create basic production files in CorelDraw & FlexiSign.
    • Maintain an on-time completion and accuracy ratio exceeding 90%.
  • Administrative:
    • Prepare the Production Department Vital Factor Report for Friday's departmental meeting and Monday's Operations Meeting.
    • Retrieve Work Orders and ensure their completeness.
    • Apply UL labels to products as required.
  • Ability To:
    • Work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Adapt readily to change and respond effectively to shifting assignments, work environments, and priorities.
    • Operate large trucks for delivering materials to job sites.
    • Evaluate current practices and present improved systems to management.
Physical Demands

This position requires the ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, finger, grasp, talk, hear, and repeat motions. You may be required to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Close visual acuity is essential for tasks such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.

This role involves exposure to various environmental conditions, including both indoor and outdoor settings. You may encounter noise levels that require shouting to be heard above ambient noise. There is a potential for exposure to hazards such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working at heights, and other workplace risks.
