Family and Juvenile Services has an immediate need to fill a Court Designated Worker position in Pendleton County. This role is responsible for receiving public and status offense complaints against juveniles, arranging placements for juveniles taken into custody by law enforcement officers, conducting preliminary inquiries on complaints filed against juveniles, and recommending formal processing or informal disposition.
The ideal candidate will have an Associate's Degree and at least one year of work-related experience. They will also possess strong interpersonal communication and writing skills, as well as the ability to schedule and organize program-related meetings and events. The candidate will work in an office and/or facility, and may be required to travel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and process public and status offense complaints against juveniles
- Arrange placements for juveniles taken into custody by law enforcement officers
- Conduct preliminary inquiries on complaints filed against juveniles
- Recommend formal processing or informal disposition
- Formulate and supervise diversion agreements
- Maintain records and statistical information
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
