Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Development Engineer to join our team at Surf Search, a rapidly growing medical devices company in the cardiovascular space. Our company is poised for significant growth and expansion, and we are looking for talented individuals to help drive our success.

The Process Development Engineer will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing new and improved manufacturing processes for our control console program. This position will require daily support of products, processes, materials, and supplier management, as well as equipment for new and sustaining products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop new manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and quality
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements
  • Provide daily support of products, processes, materials, and supplier management
  • Develop and implement process validation and verification protocols
  • Conduct Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Lean Manufacturing analyses
  • Develop and implement process control plans and procedures
  • Collaborate with quality assurance team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Develop and implement training programs for production staff

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Biomedical preferred)
  • 3+ years' experience in medical device manufacturing or process engineering
  • Experience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Lean Manufacturing, and Design of Experiments (DoE)
  • Experience with process validation and verification protocols
  • Knowledge of medical device design controls and quality systems
  • Experience working in a regulated environment (preferably medical device)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to organize and implement procedures
  • Six Sigma training and certification preferred
