About the Role

As a Technical Program Manager, you will collaborate across various disciplines, including hardware, software, and safety teams, to translate overarching strategies into actionable plans at the engineering level. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Crafting project timelines, pinpointing key milestones, identifying potential risks, estimating budgets, and effectively communicating progress to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensuring that all engineering teams are aligned with their priorities and are on schedule and within budget to achieve our corporate objectives.

Ideal candidates will possess robust technical expertise in data analysis, enabling them to navigate competing priorities and drive successful execution. A successful candidate will exhibit a strong sense of ownership over their projects while fostering a collaborative team environment in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Convert high-level corporate strategies and milestones into detailed product roadmaps, timelines, dashboards, and deliverables.
  • Deliver clear, structured, and concise communications tailored to various audiences.
  • Define and monitor resource needs (both headcount and budget) in partnership with cross-functional leaders and finance teams.
  • Ensure every team is aware of their deliverables at all times, establishing and managing processes and regular meetings.
  • Create standard reports that effectively communicate program status, challenges, risks, and achievements to key stakeholders.
  • Maintain transparency regarding issues and proactively identify and mitigate risks in collaboration with engineering teams.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering or Science discipline.
  • Over 6 years of experience in technical program management.
  • Proficient understanding of system safety and/or systems engineering processes.
  • Proven track record in managing complex, cross-functional projects.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with safety-critical or high-integrity systems.
  • Background in the automotive industry or autonomous driving technology.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry safety standards such as MIL-STD-882, ISO 26262, ISO 21448 PAS, etc.
Compensation

This position includes three primary components of compensation: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this role is between $190,000 and $250,000, with the possibility of a sign-on bonus as part of the overall compensation package. Compensation may vary based on geographic location and experience level.
