KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement and uphold Safety Principles.
- Comply with and advocate for Life Saving Rules.
- Develop and sustain process models for designated units as required.
- Offer technical assistance to the Technical, Operations, and Maintenance teams in resolving operational issues.
- Establish effective communication with relevant plant personnel.
- Conduct necessary investigations and present findings with suitable conclusions and recommendations.
- Demonstrate the ability to influence colleagues and management.
- Manage capital projects related to Automation Systems.
- Possess a foundational understanding of electronic systems, P&ID's, and fluid dynamics.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal skills and communicate effectively and professionally with others.
- Be available for after-hours and/or weekend on-call duties as needed.
Experience
- Familiarity with advanced controllers, particularly DeltaV Advanced Controls is preferred.
- Experience with Aspen RTO is advantageous.
- Proficiency with Emerson DeltaV is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Control Systems Engineering within a plant environment is required.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Control Systems Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience in nitriles manufacturing is beneficial.
- Exhibit leadership and effective communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and sound judgment.
- Commitment to performance delivery.
- Technical and functional expertise, particularly in control systems engineering.
- Proficiency in MS-Office Excel, PI, and vendor-specific software is required.
