Position Summary:

Company Set is a leader in the garage door service industry, specializing in installation and maintenance. The Garage Operations Manager plays a crucial role in driving market growth, nurturing employee development, and upholding the company's vision and core values. Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and guide a team of over 30 field personnel, including service technicians, maintenance staff, door installers, warehouse workers, service managers, and installation managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage financial transactions, including batch deposits and expense tracking.
  • Monitor budgets and analyze profit and loss statements.
  • Oversee fleet management and logistics.
  • Organize non-inventory supplies and maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment in the warehouse.
  • Participate in home and trade exhibitions.
  • Identify and cultivate potential partnerships.
  • Address customer feedback on review platforms promptly.
  • Facilitate employee one-on-one meetings, both in-person and remotely.
  • Provide performance management support to line managers through regular meetings.
  • Coordinate recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding processes.
  • Support the professional growth of apprentices and technicians.
  • Handle customer escalations and provide expert assistance to technicians.
  • Conduct weekly meetings and daily check-ins with staff.
  • Collaborate with People Operations to enhance workplace relationships and morale.
  • Review fleet vehicle footage for performance monitoring.
  • Manage technician schedules and ensure proper training for apprentices.
  • Verify employee timecards for payroll accuracy.
  • Inspect vehicles regularly to ensure optimal performance.
  • Coordinate inventory logistics and transfers.
  • Assist technicians in the field as necessary.
  • Conduct unannounced quality audits at job sites.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to interpret and apply relevant laws and regulations.
  • Proficient time management skills with a track record of meeting deadlines.

  • Familiarity with CRM systems, specifically ServiceTitan.

Education and Experience:

  • Preferred experience in garage door components or the home service sector.
  • A minimum of 5 years of managerial experience in team support and training.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work on a computer.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary.
