Job Summary:We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Child Care Regulation Inspector. As a key member of our Child Care Regulation department, you will be responsible for monitoring and investigating child-care facilities throughout the State of Texas.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct facility inspections to ensure compliance with standards and regulations
- Investigate complaints and incidents in licensed child-care facilities and homes
- Evaluate new applications for child-care facilities to issue licenses and registrations
- Identify risk and recommend enforcement actions to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of children
- Provide training and technical assistance to child-care providers on issues related to minimum standards
- Knowledge of Texas laws relating to regulation of childcare and child abuse/neglect
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Ability to initiate and participate in enforcement of regulations concerning child-care facilities
