Job Summary

The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist is responsible for producing high-quality computed tomography (CT) scans of patients. This role requires strong communication skills to explain procedures to patients and address their concerns. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of radiation safety procedures and be able to operate CT scanners and related equipment with precision.

Key Responsibilities

Positions patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary

Appropriately sets the controls of the related equipment; monitors equipment and patient; makes adjustments as necessary

Assists radiologist with imaging procedures, starting IV's, and injecting contrast, if applicable

Evaluates CT scans for technical quality, collate processed images in sequence of exposure and appropriately label

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent

One (1) year of experience as a CAT/CT Technologist preferred

Appropriate valid state licensure in diagnostic imaging

A.R.R.T. (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Certification, if required by state regulations or contract specifications
