Responsibilities
Job Summary / Purpose
The Clinical Laboratory Specialist plays a vital role in executing various chemical, microscopic, and bacteriological tests of moderate to high complexity. This position is essential for generating accurate data critical for diagnosing and treating medical conditions. The specialist will engage in direct patient care across all age groups.
Essential Key Job Responsibilities
+ Adheres to safety protocols and emergency procedures.
1. Follows established policies of the Hospital/Department/Unit.
2. Accurately documents activities in accordance with Hospital/Department/Unit guidelines.
3. Executes critical and frequent procedures or services.
4. Provides care and services tailored to identified patient needs.
5. Utilizes necessary equipment for effective care delivery.
6. Collaborates with Hospital/Department resources as needed.
7. Exhibits professional accountability in line with job classification.
8. Upholds Core Values and Guest Service Standards.
9. Demonstrates Core Values based on Behavioral Standards.
10. Undertakes additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent education, completion of an accredited training program.
Required Licensure and Certifications
MLT (ASCP) or equivalent certification.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training
Proficient conversational English is essential for understanding management directives, completing job tasks, and effectively communicating with patients and colleagues. Familiarity with safety protocols and hospital policies is also required.
Pay Range
$25.48 /hour
