Job Title:

Director of Williams Syndrome Center

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced professional to lead our Williams Syndrome Center as its Director. The successful candidate will have a strong background in rare genetic diseases, developmental disorders, and clinical care. The Director will be responsible for overseeing the clinical, research, and educational activities of the Center, as well as developing strategic partnerships with stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to advancing the understanding and support of individuals with Williams syndrome and their families.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a vision for the Center, ensuring alignment with the broader mission and values.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and partnerships effectively to drive sustainable growth.
  • Spearhead efforts to increase public awareness and understanding of Williams syndrome and foster an environment of empathy and support for families living with Williams syndrome.
  • Proactively interact with and cultivate strong relationships with advisory board members, leveraging their insights and expertise to inform strategic decisions, drive innovation, and ensure alignment with our organization's mission and goals.
Requirements:
  • Substantial leadership experience in rare disease clinical care and research.
  • Demonstrated success in leading a program involving clinical and research components.
  • Expertise in rare genetic diseases and developmental disorders, with a strong preference for experience in Williams syndrome.
  • Proven track record of effectively leading and managing teams, projects, and budgets.
  • Exceptional communication skills to foster collaboration and engage diverse stakeholders.
