About the Role

We are seeking a Cultural Awareness Specialist to support the development of youth in our community.

This role involves collaborating with youth participants and staff members to develop a positive mental health climate, providing group lessons that support cultural identity and well-being, and serving as a consultant for parents and staff.

The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in counseling or a closely related field and hold a Professional Counselor License for the State of Alaska.

Key qualifications include demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the social, educational, training, and cultural needs of the Alaska Native/American Indian community, and experience working within a milieu environment requiring participants to collaborate in achieving a positive socio-emotional climate.
