About the Role

As a Medical Oncology Scheduler, you will be responsible for scheduling patient appointments and tests in an efficient and timely manner. You will answer all incoming calls, direct calls to appropriate personnel, and serve as a liaison between patients and medical staff. The role may include outside scheduling and/or surgical scheduling responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer all incoming calls and assess callers' needs
  • Page clinic personnel as necessary
  • Schedule new patients, patient referrals, and returning patients in accordance with physician and/or office guidelines
  • Cancels/reschedules appointments according to physician schedule changes; notifies appropriate clinic personnel
